You’re Not Invisible

Ever been told you weren’t ready for the next level, only to be asked to train the person who got the position?
It’s a quiet kind of pain: being relied on while feeling unseen. You’re not invisible. You’re being refined.
Moments like this can make anyone question their worth, but they can also reveal something powerful about your strength and character. Here are three ways to stay grounded and encouraged when you’ve been passed over:
1. Reframe rejection as redirection.
When doors close, it doesn’t always mean you’re unqualified. Sometimes it means your growth requires a different room. Take what you’ve learned from this moment and use it to prepare for what’s next. Don't punish yourself for what didn’t happen.
2. Validate yourself before you seek validation.
Don’t wait for a title, a raise, or an external nod to affirm your value. Your excellence speaks for itself. Continue showing up with integrity and confidence, even when no one is applauding.
3. Let go of what isn’t yours with peace.
Or as I like to say: “What ain’t for me, let it fly. What is, won’t pass me by.” Letting go doesn’t mean giving up. It means making room for what fits your God-given purpose and aligns with your preparation.
The truth is that visibility doesn’t always equal value. Sometimes the most capable people are working quietly in the background, shaping outcomes and supporting others.
Stay ready. Your opportunity may not have skipped you. It might just be circling back at the right time.
