In other words, having a relationship with those who make the decisions is often the missing link. Whom do you need to get to know? Outside of your immediate manager, who else needs to become aware of the value you offer?

  • Volunteer for cross functional initiatives.

  • Build relationships outside your department.

  • Contribute insights in visible settings.

  • Make your impact measurable and repeatable.


You do not need to change who you are. You may need to change how strategically you show up.
